Rigorous evaluation of CO2 management system
The CO2 Performance Ladder is a certification system that encourages companies to actively reduce their carbon footprint. This system offers a rigorous evaluation of a company's CO2 management system across five different levels, with Level 5 representing the pinnacle of CO2 awareness and active reduction strategies both within its own organisation, its supply chain and the sector in which it’s active.
The comprehensive audit, which was conducted over a period of six days, involved a meticulous review of the CO2 management systems at BESIX and its associated companies including audits on all regional offices, the Plant & Equipment Dept. in Belgium and 6 projects in Belgium en the Netherlands (Renovation Krammer lock (BESIX), De Nieuwe Meer intersection (BESIX), A27 Houten-Everdingen (BESIX), Frame agreement VOVK road maintenance South-Netherlands (BESIX), Renovation Strijderslaan Hamme (BESIX Infra) and Best Railway tunnel (BESIX Unitec Nederland).

The audit confirmed that BESIX, BESIX Environment, Franki Foundations Belgium, BESIX Infra, BESIX Unitec and their subsidiaries will retain the prestigious Level 5 certification on the CO2 Performance Ladder, awarded in 2022.
