Bilzen: an Underpass beneath the Railway

At Franki Foundations, taking on technical challenges is part of our DNA. We are currently working in Bilzen, for BESIX and the end client TUC RAIL, on the construction of an underpass for cars, pedestrians, and cyclists, located directly beneath the existing railway track.

Advanced techniques for a complex project

Our teams have already completed:
• 169 double-rotation piles with a diameter of Ø 630 mm, at depths ranging from 13.90 m to 20.40 m, completed in just 3 weeks.
• More than 40 anchors between 8 and 14 m deep, ensuring the stability of the structure.

The next phase will be carried out by the Bauer BG45 team, who will install 59 bored piles, further demonstrating our expertise in multiple techniques and our flexibility in adapting to site constraints.

Showcasing Franki Foundations’ expertise

This project highlights our ability to combine technical skill, precision, and responsiveness to meet the demands of challenging projects, while contributing to sustainable mobility and improving local infrastructure.
