Ebel-Abanga Bridge, tailored techniques for each riverbank

A new international challenge for Franki Foundations: off to Gabon

A major project alongside BESIX Gabon

Franki Foundations is working on behalf of BESIX Gabon as part of the duplication of the bridge, which is currently limited to a single lane.
This ambitious project aims to improve traffic flow and enhance the safety of this key piece of infrastructure.

Challenging working conditions

This site comes with its share of challenges:
- A tropical environment less familiar to our teams,
- High temperatures,
- Highly variable ground conditions from one bank to the other.

Tailored techniques for each riverbank

- On the right bank, made up of rock and schist, our teams will execute around 70 micropiles with an average depth of 20 metres.
- On the left bank, where the soil is sandier, around 100 driven piles will support the future bridge structure.

Each ground, its own technique!

This project perfectly illustrates Franki Foundations’ ability to adapt its methods and collaborate efficiently beyond borders. A new international challenge we are proud to take on alongside BESIX Gabon.
