Geothermal drilling

Geothermal drilling is the process of creating boreholes in the earth to extract the earth's heat.

Construction chart

Construction sequence

1. Double rotary drilling or drilling using supporting fluid through low-consolidated layers of soil

2. Drilling through rocky layers using the adapted drilling tools

3. Installation of the geothermal probe into the borehole

4. Cementation of the geothermal probe in the borehole and recovering of any temporary casing tubes

5. Connection of the probe to the collector and the heat pump. Functioning of the geothermal system for heating or cooling
