Deinze – New Footbridge

Franki Foundations is proud to be constructing the foundations of the new pedestrian and cyclist footbridge in Deinze. This project highlights our expertise in working over water, where precision and safety are essential.

Strong and Precise Piles

To support the footbridge, our 31 tubular piles are driven up to 13 meters deep, each consisting of three welded tubes. Installation is carried out from a modular pontoon provided by HYE NV, the main contractor, and a guiding plate ensures that the surveyor can accurately align the piles from the shore.

Project Challenges

  • Working over water carries additional risks

  • Workspace on the floating pontoon is limited

  • Moving the pontoon to install new piles requires extreme caution to avoid damaging already installed piles

Thanks to the close collaboration between our team, HYE NV, and the surveyor, this ambitious project is making steady progress towards completion, meeting the highest standards of quality and safety.
